Seixal is a Portuguese city belonging to the district of Setúbal and the Metropolitan Area of Lisbon, with around 31,600 inhabitants.

It is the seat of the municipality of Seixal with an area of 95.50 km² and 158,269 inhabitants (2011), subdivided into 4 parishes (Amora; Corroios; Fernão Ferro; Seixal, Arrentela and Aldeia de Paio Pires).

The municipality is limited to the east by the municipality of Barreiro, to the south by Sesimbra, to the west by Almada and to the north by the Tagus estuary, through which it is connected to Lisbon.
The municipality of Seixal has a large branch of the Tagus, with the Corroios marsh to the west and the Judeu river to the east.
